Lead Project Manager

This is a Lead Project Managment role. It is critical that this person demonstrates solid leadership, mentoring and project management skills with a track record of successful projects, driven by their experience, interpersonal skills and application of best practices based on PMBOK and formal methodology training.

Job Summary
This position reports to the Manager, IT Project Management Office (PMO) with primary responsibility for the effective management of various projects. The IT Project Manager (PM) oversees all aspects of the project following the PMI best practices. The PM is responsible for coordination and completion of the project and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including planning, facilitating meetings, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring, summarizing and communicating progress of the project. The PM may be responsible for more than one project at a time. The PM actively leads and directs cross-functional team members to ensure all deliverables, objectives, process milestones and quality measures are completed on-time and on-budget. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record successfully managing a wide variety of projects leveraging technology to drive business improvements on-time and on-budget. Responsibilities may require occasional after-hours work for implementations, post-production coordination and other project-driven events as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Effectively leads and motivates project teams through the tasks of developing and executing project objectives.
  • Previous experience leading/mentoring Project Managers.
  • Manages stakeholder expectations and communication flow as they relate to project deliverables, scope and the internal project team.
  • Facilitates and works with team leads to define a detailed and accurate project scope.
  • Prepares agendas and leads project meetings; takes meeting notes and ensures follow-through for all meetings.
  • Defines and manages team expectations regarding scope of work and responsibilities.
  • Accurately anticipates and catches deviations from a plan or schedule early to assess their impact to the schedule and to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Conducts strong issues management and keeps the team moving forward.
  • Manages vendor relationships as it relates to the project.
  • Coordinates across departments to manage day-to-day workflow to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.
  • Develops and manages project schedules, budgets and requests for change.
  • Manages project budgets and variances.
  • Ensures internal systems are updated with the necessary information to ensure all team members, managers and directors can access the necessary project and/or resource related information.
  • Ensure compliance with internal project management methodology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an Information Technology (IT) project manager role with an emphasis on managing projects in a PMO office by aligning business requirements with IT solutions.
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate project teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate upwards via presentations, telephone, email, and in-person.
  • Flexibility to adapt work style to environmental changes.
  • Broad understanding of technologies and processes that support business systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow project management methodology, plan and to implement projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to lead the project team in defining the project deliverables, milestones, resource plan, communication plan, testing plan and schedule.
  • In depth understanding of business systems life-cycle and associated implementation methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management to assess business requirements, and to plan, manage and deliver stable, reliable and cost-effective technology solutions.
  • Good understanding of accepted operational and financial business practices.
  • Knowledge of cement, ready-mix, aggregates, and concrete products operations and the corresponding business processes is a plus.
  • Experience using Sharepoint as a project collaboration tool and dashboard (v 2007/2010).
  • Experience using Microsoft Project 2010.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 2010 applications.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project Server 2010.
  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • PMP Certification is desirable.

Tremendous opportunity with International supply chain organization where advanced technology is the lifeblood. This is an international SAP implementation which is still in the early phase. You will be a Business Intelligence Developer to working for this division of a Fortune 250 corporation

You will make complex decisions to improve scalability, efficiency and reliability of the system being designed. Perform analysis, documentation, development, coding, testing, debugging, and install programs to support general business applications. Prepare program specifications and diagrams and develop coding logic flowcharts.

Prepare functional and technical specifications, test and deploy solutions as new enhancements or system implementation. Design, develop and implement SAP code technologies in a (AIX/UNIX/Solaris/Linux) environment using relational database technology (Oracle preferred). Provide expert knowledge and understanding of SAP ecosystem including BW and any additional SAP products. Guide and recommend solutions to mentor junior developers and business SMEs. REQUIREMENTS
8+ years experience developing, encoding, testing, debugging, documenting, and installing programs to support SAP BW applications

Experience with ABAP BW Programming Tools including Bex, WEBI, Crystal, and Dashboards.
Application of OSS (Online SAP Support) notes
